PHD uses sophisticated technology and software called V-COM (see www.v-comdirect.com) to enable suppliers to upload their products onto the PHD server and to update product information whenever they need to.
Participating suppliers are provided with a secure username and password that gives them access to an administration backend of the PHD database where they can easily make any changes to their product information including pricing, new product, edit information, delete product, view customers and orders and receive statistics.
Designers can register to receive a username and password for access to supplier and product information. Users/designers click on the PHD icon on their desktop, click on the product category they are looking for and when they click on a product they like they receive product specifications and supplier contact details. They can also order product directly from the supplier via the PHD catalog.
